Maurits Wijmenga (2000) graduated from the Amsterdam School of Drama and Cabaret in 2023. In his graduation year, he took his first steps in the field as an actor. That year, he performed in two musical theater productions by Club Kenau, as an actor, singer, and pianist. Additionally, he acted in the play Dieven by Toneelschuur Productions, for which he was named the most promising newcomer in the year-end lists of Theaterkrant.
In November 2023, together with Ramses van Hall, he won both the jury and audience prizes at Cameretten, as the new cabaret duo BRO’S. This duo will debut with a full-length cabaret program in the 2025/26 theater season, under the wings of MORE Theater Productions. Additionally, he performs alongside Myrthe Sieminga and Olivier Herter in the improvisation show Skip ’t Script.
Soon, he can be seen in the second season of the successful series Een Grote Familie.
